I’m baaaaaack. Okay, to be honest, I never left. I just took an extremely long break from blogging/vlogging and I have no good excuse. I’ve still been out and about, exploring, meeting new people, and falling even more in love with San Diego. I recently went home for Thanksgiving and little miss Dorothy was so right when she said, “There’s no place like home.” While Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year, I did not go all out like previous years and actually stayed home to enjoy the day with my family. *gasp* Instead, I’ve been stalking certain items that I already know I can’t live without and am patiently waiting for flash sales. Here’s a few of the items I have my heart set on this Christmas.
one. Bare Minerals Deluxe Original Foundation: Since moving to San Diego, I now know how important it is to stock up on multiple shades of foundation and concealer. One sunny Saturday can leave you mis-matched and looking like you don’t religiously watch YouTube beauty tutorials. I recently let the bargain shopper in me out and tried to find a cheaper dupe for my holy-grail foundation. Nope. Nope. Nope. This size is massive and with previous purchases of this, have lasted me over a year. This typically retails for $43 but guess who just got a 20% off Ulta coupon in her email. YAAASS girl, YAS. Definitely will be picking one of these up as an early gift to myself.
two. Guess Kingsley Small Satchel: I’ve never been a huge Guess fan. I’ve always felt like they take their designs one step too far. Like they got it right but last minute had to add rhinestones or snake print, which just isn’t my style (no shade to those who like that stuff, you do you!). But I came across this bag while I was shopping for a new wallet and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve added it to my cart and taken it out. But the suede detail, the color, and the structure screams Jhana and is everything the perfect fall/winter bag should be. I just need to make up my mind already.
three. Nike Woven Juvenate Sneakers: Again, in and out of my shopping cart. I feel like these could be really fly with the right outfit and I like how lightweight they are. These would be perfect for running errands or just a casual day out. Because they do have spacing between the straps, I wouldn’t use these for running or any strenuous activity as I don’t know how sturdy they would be.
four. Canon Powershot G7x Digital Camera: DREAM CAMERA status. I love that the LCD screen flips forward so you can take a selfie (which I don’t do) or keep yourself in the frame while vlogging. While I don’t think I will be investing in this anytime soon, I definitely want to look into getting a better quality camera for vlogging and the blog. That fisheye lens on my GoPro just ain’t cutting it right now.
five. Polar A360 Fitness + Heart Rate Tracker: I already asked for this one and fingers crossed Santa comes thru. I like that this watch can track your sleep patterns, heart rate, and calorie burn. It also beeps when if you’ve been inactive for a long time and need to get your butt moving (so Gossip Girl Netflix binges might be coming to a screeching halt). Also, you can sync this with your phone’s bluetooth to get text and call alerts straight to your wrist. Guess I need to find a new excuse for ducking calls besides “Sorry, I was at the gym.”
six. Keurig 2.0 K200 Coffee Maker Brewing System: I spend way too much on coffee. Like it’s not okay in any way, shape, or form. I think I saw a sign at Big Lots about how much each cup of coffee costs when buying a giant bulk box of K-Cups and it was something ridiculous like 29 cents per cup. You seriously can’t get anything for 29 cents these days so my mind is just blown, done, poof. I keep visiting the Keurig aisle at Target like the biggest creep and I feel like the employees are starting to recognize me. YOLO.
I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be a hard Christmas away from my family this year but I’m also excited to be spending it sipping on wine and watching Christmas movies with one of my best friends out here.
I’ll get better about writing going forward, I swear. Coming home and chugging wine from the bottle is not a valid excuse to let my blog go.
